Making your experience even more EXTRAORDINARY

SUPPORTING THE ARTS

From produce to wineries and spirits, it’s vitally important to Kevin Clib and Bridgets to support local artisans.
With the recent renovation of Bridgets, he came up with an ingenious way to support local artists. We are thrilled to partner with a local art gallery, Gallery222 Malvern, who curates the fine art on our walls created solely by local artists. The paintings rotate every few months
and are available for purchase. To purchase talk with your server or visit Gallery222 Malvern’s Online Shop.

AL MORETTI

Musician • Composer • Artist

Al Moretti is a painting jazz musician, trumpeter and composer. His work is described as abstract realism. He says when he paints, he thinks of sound and when he plays music he thinks of colors. He is a formally trained musician and self-taught visual artist with degrees from West Chester University and Penn. He has played the trumpet commercially for 50 years and painting for 10. His painting process is a series of discrete steps… listening to music, imagining the completed work, seeing the end from an abstract beginning and allowing my expression to form the work. He uses a limited palette to bend and shape an image while endeavoring to maintain a balance between abstraction, realism and chance.

ELISE PHILLIPS

5th Generation Artist

Elise Phillips was born in Wayne, Pennsylvania into a family with an extensive background in the fine arts. Her great, great grandfather founded Newman Galleries in Philadelphia in 1865, and today she is the fifth generation of the family involved in the arts. A graduate of The Hussian School of Art in 1983, she was an accomplished illustrator and graphic designer with many successful commissions in the business community. With an inherent passion for painting, she enrolled at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, emerging well-schooled in the tradition of the Academy. Elise has for many years maintained a studio in Elverson, Pennsylvania, where the bucolic countryside is a constant source of inspiration for many of her paintings, as is Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, the Chesapeake Bay and the New England coast. An award-winning exhibitor, she is a signature member of the Philadelphia Water Color Society, a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club, Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society and the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters.

ALICIA ASSELTA

Artist • Explorer • Bold Style

Alicia Asselta is a local artist living in Berwyn, PA with her husband and two daughters. Working primarily with oil paints on canvas, her work features subjects ranging from food and florals to farm animals. Inspired by artists such as Georgia O’Keefe and David Hockney, she likes to explore the use of bold colors and unique composition in her paintings. Alicia received her Fine Art degree from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA and furthered her art studies at Studio Arts Centers International in Florence, Italy.

RANDALL GRAHAM

Artist • Instructor • 'En Rain Air'

Randall’s passion for art has been apparent since childhood. His love of drawing and creating stories through works of art started at a very young age and hasn’t stopped yet. He studied at The Carlin Academy of Fine Art.  Bo Bartlett has also taught Randall and influenced his style. The tradition of Chester County artists continues with Randall. He was born in Malvern Pa and today he resides in West Chester PA with his family. He keeps a studio in Malvern where he works and teaches traditional painting fundamentals.

Randall is ambitious when it comes to his approach to painting.  His work comes in a variety of channels including studio work, en plein air (outdoor painting) and his “en rain air” style. The “en rain air” style comes about from painting a scene from his mini van or window while it is raining. The rain drops on the window act as a means for abstraction. The juxtaposition of abstract and reality creates emotional paintings which have become very popular with Randall’s collectors.

Randall also loves to share his knowledge of painting through teaching.  Helping others create is a truly gratifying experience. Randall teaches traditional painting fundamentals at Randall Graham Studio in Malvern, Wayne Art Center and Chester County Art Association.

JEANNE GUNTHER

Artist • Award-Winning

Jeanne Leyden Gunther graduated from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art with a BFA in Oil Painting. She is very active in the community art scene and is a member of Saratoga Arts Saratoga Springs, New York, and the Philadelphia/Tri-State Artist Equity Association. Jeanne is currently the President of the Delaware Valley Art League. Her award-winning work exhibited here is part of the Curiosity Series depicting the playful nature of crows.

GALLERY 222

2 Enlighten • 2 Enjoy • 2 Experience

Gallery222 originated with an idea for a special property on Malvern’s beloved King Street. The vision was simple, a place where working artists, their friends and the community can intermingle over a glass of ice tea in the country kitchen or the back garden. Nothing is intimidating about the space or the staff, just a friendly atmosphere where the ART is the main attraction bringing everyone together.

Gallery222’s commercial art gallery represents established and emerging artists. We draw from our incredibly talented regional artists with an occasional national artist’s exhibit. The gallery opened its doors in September 2016. Gallery222 features monthly rotating exhibitions in the three galleries. We are excited to plan special events and we have great topics in mind for our Gallery Talks! Our mission is to expose the community to our amazing talented artists as they share their work, their process and their insights.
