Kevin Clib, Owner
The restaurateur who saved Ambler is continuing his mission with an expansion of Bridgets Modern Steakhouse in the heart of the charming, historic town. Kevin Clib has a destiny, and that destiny is culinary bliss. “I’ve known since I was twelve or thirteen,” says the entrepreneur/restaurateur, “that my destiny is to make people happy through food.” Ever since he bought and rehabilitated a block of buildings on West Butler Pike and opened a tavern, and an upscale steakhouse, Clib’s destiny has become entwined with Ambler’s.
Scott Dougherty, Owner
Scott began his career at the historic Blue Bell Inn in 1990, and quickly worked his way up to become the Maitre D and Manager by 1992. Scott then spent the next 9 years working with Blue Bell Inn legend Jack Friel, and the Lamprecht family. Through the 90’s Scott helped guide the Blue Bell through a wonderful decade of prosperity and success. Scott credits the Lamprecht family with teaching him the fine points of the business, and has always cherished his many years of employment at the Blue Bell.
In August of 2004 Mr. Dougherty took his restaurant prowess to Ambler PA, to join forces with Kevin Clib, owner of KC’s Alley. KC’s Alley opened in 1999, and by 2003, plans were under way to open a fine dining steakhouse right next door. Scott signed on to the team to assist in the planning and opening of the steakhouse, and to oversee the day to day operations as General Manager. Bridgets Modern Steakhouse opened in November of 2004 to rave reviews. Scott guided the front of the house, while Kevin oversaw the kitchen with his group of talented chefs.
In 2008 Scott was promoted to Director of Operations of M2K restaurant group, as he began to oversee KC’s Alley as well. In the summer of 2011 Scott purchased half of M2K Restaurant group, and is now partners with Kevin Clibanoff in both restaurant operations.
